Please also be advised that the Counseling Center will be closed Tuesday, December 24th through Wednesday, January 1st.

Balancing the demands of college life can be difficult. In addition to academic requirements, there are financial pressures, relationship concerns, and job stressors that can leave you feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. The Counseling Center staff can help you find ways to manage difficult times and provide you with a comforting place to examine your life and learn more about yourself so you can realize your potential. Students are encouraged to make an appointment for their initial visit by calling us at 303-615-9988.
The Counseling Center is open Monday thru Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. We are closed during lunch, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

We are located in the Student Union, in Suite 651. To access our office, take the elevator across from the Tivoli Tab House to the 6th floor. Turn left and go down the steps.

We are currently offering both in-person and virtual services in order to best meet the needs of our students. New clients are always welcome, and we offer daily walk-in services for emergencies and crises during all open hours. We also offer group therapy options, individual therapy, referral and consultation.

If no one is available to answer your call, leave a voicemail and we will make every effort to return your call by the next business day. If you need to speak with someone after hours or on weekends or holidays, please call our crisis line at (303) 615-9911 and identify yourself as an MSU Denver student.
If you would like to examine how you might be dealing with your feelings and thoughts in different life arenas, we offer online screenings. Some of our screening options include eating disorders, alcohol use, depression, anxiety and PTSD (posttraumatic stress disorder), as well as others. If you would like to complete a self-assessment, click on the button below and use “METROSTATE“ for your password. Select the screening you would like to take. Results are communicated instantly. Share your results if you come in for a visit!
The MSU Denver Counseling Center offers clinical training opportunities for graduate students from clinical and counseling psychology doctoral programs.
